Britney in subliminal shocker

Sunshine Jones (link above) has posted some great examples of subliminal messages in well known songs when they're played backwards.

Led Zeppelin isn't a surprise, the Eagles sort of makes sense and Queen is slightly unexpected, but Britney?

Of course she must listen to her own songs quite a lot during rehearsals & appearances, so who knows how it affected her over the years. What are the odds on other songs referring to hammers and Philips LadyShave?

Anyway, I've not tried the originals for myself, but it sounds fairly convincing. And there must be other examples. Maybe Bryan Adams' blockbuster "Everything I Do" had a message designed to keep it at number one for months on end. I can think of no other reasonable explanation...

Giant Hands Massage Building

This is very clever and the sequence from around 1:45 with the windows is particularly good.

I wonder what Gail Porter would make of it?

Enjoy!

Ouch!

I guess that's why it's called breakdancing.

Sorry! :-(

To me, to you.

Impressive video from Boing Boing, particularly when you think how fast both planes must be moving.

For some reason it also reminded me of several drunken dates from years gone by...

Man Utd 3 - West Brom 5

A classic match from December 1978 when Albion were one of the best teams in the country, if not Europe. This gives you a taste of what Cunningham was all about.

The booing during the game and Fat Ron's post-match comments show just what players like Cunningham, Regis & Batson had to deal with and how far we've come since then.

Let's hope Bomber Brown & Bryan Robson's shaggy perms remain a thing of the past too!

From Brisbane Road to the Bernabeu

Good article from the BBC: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8149282.stm

I was lucky enough to see Laurie play a few times for West Brom and he had a bit of everything. Pace, skill, balance and a surprising amount of strength. I think the comparison with Cristiano Ronaldo is a good one, although Laurie had better dress sense.

I can also see what people mean about his unfulfilled potential, but perhaps his real legacy was breaking down the racial barriers that existed within football to give us the multicultural game we have today.

RIP Laurie.

Things to say during sex

I can recall 12 from one side and 18 from the other. Good and bad are only perceptions of reality, so you don't need to know which is which...
